Dock Crane Operator Certificaton
Why do I need to be certified?
In British Columbia, Occupational Health & Safety Regulations are implemented and enforced by WorkSafeBC. Any operator of a hoisting device is to be trained and assessed as competent.

The majority of crane accidents are caused by human error. Accidents can be minimised or prevented by making sure all operators have received formal training.
The Level 1 and Level 2 Dock Crane Operator courses are delivered online and allow you to complete the training and knowledge quizes at your own pace and whenever it is convenient for you.

Level 1 Operator
Cost: $99
Fulford Certification’s Dock Mounted Crane Operation – Level 1 Certification Course for all Small Craft Harbours in BC. Successful completion of this course will allow you to operate:




Level 2 Operator
Cost: $35
Once you have completed the Level 1 Operator course you can take the Level 2 course for hydraulic cranes (folding and stiff boom) that require the use of load charts and additional pre-operation inspection knowledge.

How to take the courses
1. Visit testing.fulford.ca
2. Create a New Account by following the registration process.
3. Check your email for a confirmation message (don’t forget to check your spam/junk folder). Open the email and confirm your account.
4. Log in to testing.fulford.ca using your newly created account.
5. Select the appropriate course. (Note: You must complete Level 1 Dock Crane before enrolling in Level 2 Dock Crane.)
6. Purchase the course through the available payment options.
7. Launch the course by clicking the link provided after purchase.
8. Receive your certificate upon successful completion of the course. It will be available in your account and emailed to the address you registered with.
